MODE OF INSTRUCTION: Traditional Instructor-Led (In-class)

DURATION: 6 Hours

SCHEDULE: 1 day training, from 9:30am to 3:30pm

ACCREDITATION: New or expired certification

PREREQUISITE: None

  • Assisting with medications
  • Angina and heart attack
  • Stroke
  • CPR and AED – adult, child and baby
  • Deadly bleeding
  • Any other content required by specific legislation

CPR/AED:

Course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Level C covers all aspects of CPR skills so that you can recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking with confidence. It teaches theory for adult, child and infants, including two-rescuer CPR skills. Courses meet legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and include the latest CPR guidelines and training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED).

MATERIALS INCLUDED:

  • Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR Manual (digital)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully demonstrate skills and critical steps
  • A minimum score of 75% on written knowledge evaluation
  • Attend and participate in 100% of the course

CERTIFICATION:

3-year certification in CPR Level A or C

Canadian Red Cross certificates are now virtual! You will receive a permanent virtual certificate will be emailed to you after you have successfully completed the course. You will be able to view your manual and certification online any time through your MyRedCross account. Certification is valid for 3 years.
